Barbara Haigler Wilkes is a native of Camden, SC where she holds many accolades from being involved in sports and having a love for dance since her childhood. She is South Carolina’s first female Athletic Director and holds seven Hall of Fame awards—they all come from her love of teaching in the school system, coaching sports and dance. The awards are in the category of Athletics, Administration, Camden, NCHS Hall of Fame and CLASS, Local Shag Society. Although she’s retired from being a teacher, coach and AD, she has not retired from teaching Shag lessons.

One of her biggest accolades is being a fabulous mother, grandmother; she holds the title of being a Great Mother! We appreciate all that Barbara has done for her family, county and state.
